There could be some isolated lightning from medium-level instability release, close to the triple point, in W/NW Scotland on Wednesday afternoon, but the main focus for any lightning activity will be on Wednesday night into Thursday in the post-frontal airmass. Cold mid-levels atop relatively warm SSTs will allow numerous showers to develop and affect northwestern portions of the British Isles, with some sporadic/isolated lightning possible. Some small hail and gusty winds will be possible with some of the showers.
