Heavy downpours may develop over SW England along and/or to the south of the frontal boundary during Monday. Given modest instability, light steering winds and relatively high PWAT values, any heavy (and potentially) thundery downpours that do develop have the potential to produce some high rainfall totals over relatively small areas, bringing the threat of localised flooding. A few funnel clouds or brief waterspout/tornado will also be possible. There is potential to upgrade some parts of this region to a low-end SLGT if guidance looks similar come Monday morning.
