Broad upper troughing will cover the British Isles during Saturday, with showers affecting southern and western coasts at times, but occasionally moving further inland courtesy of more organised troughs / occlusions. Despite a few hundred J/kg CAPE, weak shear suggests that lightning will generally be fairly isolated - the greatest risk probably the eastern English Channel / SE England first thing on Saturday morning.
