Broad upper trough continues to reside over the British Isles, the cold pool creating steep mid-level lapse rates and a few hundred J/kg CAPE. Nuermous showers will affect Ireland and western Britain, occasionally feeding farther inland. Shear will be fairly weak for the most part (strong winds through the vertical, but uni-directional), suggesting any lightning will generally be quite isolated and infrequent. However, there may be an increase in in shear over Ireland during the evening hours, and SW England late evening, which may aid in organisation of convection in these areas. Hail up to 1.0cm in diameter and gusty winds will accompany some of the showers.
