Shallow moist zone across Northern Ireland / southern Scotland, and eventually into northern England, on Tuesday daytime coupled with diurnal heating and within a strongly-sheared environment may allow some shallow linear segments to develop, although the depth of convection probably not sufficient for lightning. Otherwise, scattered showers across western Scotland may produce a few isolated lightning strikes, more especially on Tuesday night as greater instability and deeper convection develops.
