Similar to previous days, scattered showers will affect parts of northern and western Scotland in particular through Wednesday and Wednesday night, a few also filtering into Ulster, Connaught and northern England. Given 100-300 J/kg CAPE a few isolated lightning strikes could occur - although the main limiting factor will be the restricted depth of convection, with the strongest shear generally found above the cloud-bearing layer.
