Scattered showers in SE England and W Scotland on Thursday carry a very low risk of the odd isolated lightning strike. Overnight, the attention turns to parts of Ireland, Wales and SW England where some pockets of embedded elevated convection within the broad frontal rain could produce an isolated lightning strike, but the risk in any one location is considered very low.
