Scattered showers will continue to feed west and southwestwards from open seas inland, hence will tend to be most frequent along western coasts - but as an upper trough migrates eastwards across England during Saturday showers will survive well-inland and may even develop more in coverage for a time. An organised convective feature will swing across southern Ireland overnight, into Wales and SW England during the early hours of Sunday, and may produce gusty winds in places. Given the steep mid-level lapse rates and a few hundred J/kg CAPE, a few isolated lightning strikes will be possible just about anywhere during this forecast period, more especially near coasts / offshore.
