Line convection is likely along the frontal boundary moving into the Outer Hebrides around midday/early afternoon on Tuesday, but despite the strongly-sheared environment the depth of convection is likely to be rather shallow, severely limiting the lightning potential. Arguably there is a slightly higher chance of a few isolated lightning strikes in the post-frontal airmass, with showers arriving during the evening and overnight hours into many exposed western areas.
