Scattered showers over Shetland on Thursday daytime, and then Ireland and western Britain on Thursday night, could produce the odd isolated lightning strike. There is also a small risk late afternoon into the evening across southern England, the Home Counties and English Channel associated with intensification of the frontal rain drifting eastwards.
