Showers (and longer spells of rain/snow in Scotland) will feed southeastwards through Thursday as an upper trough migrates gradually towards and down the North Sea and over Germany. A few isolated lightning strikes will be possible, perhaps more especially during the morning hours near northern and western Scotland.
