Realistically most areas are at risk of some form of showery rain at some point during this 24-hour period, hence the large LOW threat level issued. Cold air aloft atop SSTs and diurnal heating inland will aid development of numerous showers, with a risk of a few isolated lightning strikes (although arguably the risk is lower than the case on Thursday).
