Scattered showers are possible in N + E Scotland on Tuesday afternoon, followed by showery outbreaks of rain spreading into northern and western Britain on Tuesday night, in association with a waving frontal boundary. In both cases a few lightning strikes are possible - but the risk is rather low in any one location.
