Scattered showers and patchy, showery rain will affected parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England, Wales and the Midlands on Friday and Friday night. A couple hundred J/kg CAPE is possible, but the limited convective depth suggests lightning is very unlikely - the greatest risk (albeit still fairly low) across Scotland where convection will likely be deeper.
